Though it was only one hour long, Oni totally owned the place (or my mind, at least) with his mind-blowing set. He started out with rather distorting sound as heard in Under Western Eyes/Nablus, then transitioned into industrial techno beat. The brighter bit of his sound, like the remixes of Jason Fine and Shangaan Electro, was also brought in approaching the closing stage. Throughout the set, the “experimental” atmosphere distinguished in his sound was deftly kept, supported by a mysterious video on the back screen. (Actually, I don’t want to call his sound experimental because it is too perfect and doesn’t sound like an experiment at all.) He closed the performance with the beautiful melody of OAR003. The one-hour was truly a work of art. Oni is God.

i thought it was a good idea to post a list of music i purchased so that i can keep track of them more accurately. but i’m buying so much that i can’t keep on any more. sometimes i wish the pace at which new music coming out would slow down a little.

According to discogs page, the Swedish label currently has 3 releases, all of which are brilliant techno stuff. Färden 002 is from Splice, which is a solo project from a member of Skudge (says Clone Records). The releases seem to be available vinyl only just like Skudge’s, but definitely worth grabbing.
Great psychedelic/industrial techno stuff.
